Ring in the New Year with an Open Heart

As 2018 comes to a close, please consider giving a gift that ensures NSSA’s mission can continue for years to come.

Here’s a look back at just some of what we have achieved this past year:

Awareness $1000

One of our greatest hopes is that our students, clients and the community around them can learn to live and work together. Teacher’s Federal Credit Union is working to employ more individuals with ASD and approached NSSA for guidance. We took this opportunity to hold workshops where we shared our valuable expertise, fielded many questions and instructed TFCU staff on how to help their colleagues with autism achieve maximum success in the workplace. Support our mission to spread awareness and demonstrate the great potential of individuals with autism.

Belonging $500

Preparing our students and clients for the many demands of everyday life is an enduring task that NSSA works tirelessly to accomplish. This year, our generous supporters at Winters Bros. Waste Systems Co. opened the doors of their brand new, well-equipped facility to our adult clients. This allowed us to implement a new program, Lifelong Learning with NSSA, where our adult clients are learning to navigate the social environment at work, home and in the community. Help us to continue our lifelong mission of providing those we serve with the tools to find their place in the world.

Learning $250

We work hard to individualize programs and materials to maximize learning and ensure the success of each student and client. NSSA’s Salad Shoppe demonstrates the ingenuity of our exceptional teachers and staff. This creative endeavor was designed to meet the individual needs of each student in a classroom from food prep, cleaning, measuring, counting, inventory, purchasing, kitchen safety and so much more. Innovative learning programs that teach vital skills cannot be sustained without your support. Help those that NSSA serves to reach their goals and continue to gain knowledge that is essential to daily functioning.

A Voice $100

Advocating for a child with developmental disabilities can be overwhelming. Parents and guardians are an essential part of a child’s progress and often must serve as their child’s voice. NSSA is dedicated to empowering families with knowledge and resources through programs like Visitor’s Days and our eight-week Parent Training courses. But, the countless calls and emails we receive every day from families in desperate need of guidance are evidence of just how great the need is. NSSA promises to keep our doors and our hearts open. Your gift will help us to keep that promise.

Hope ($____)

Any amount you can give to NSSA this year will help us to achieve all this and more. Please support our dedication to those we serve and help NSSA improve the lives of so many!
