Nassau Suffolk Services for Autism is again offering an 8-week Parent Training Workshop series entitled Incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into Family Life, beginning March 4th at 7-9pm. This course is designed for parents and family members and provides the instruction needed to improve home and family life. It also teaches parents how to be their child’s best advocate.
According to a parent who has completed the workshop series, it “transformed our understanding of the many ways that ABA could be applied to our everyday lives. It provided us with a safe environment to discuss our concerns with other parents, while simultaneously enlightening all of us with actual treatment alternatives. We went home hopeful and empowered, rather than exhausted and hopeless. It provided a model for addressing our child’s needs with respect, consistency, and patience.” Our goal is for participants to leave with pivotal knowledge, restored hope and a place to come back to for guidance and support whenever it is needed.
See the following flyer for more details on this program.
